Basketball Recap: Pine-Richland Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Pine-Richland needed a changed in momentum after dropping seven straight games and they got it from Catherine Gentile. The Pine-Richland Rams simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Woodland Hills Wolverines 46-16 thanks in part to Gentile, who posted 22 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Maren Iski, who had four points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (three).

Pine-Richland's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Woodland Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Pine-Richland will head out to square off against Plum at 11:30 a.m. on December 27th. Woodland Hills will take on Frankford in a holiday battle at at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Frankford will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Woodland Hills surely won't give up without a fight.
