Basketball Recap: Northgate Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Northgate had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 45-34 victory over the Las Lomas Knights. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Broncos also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2025.

Northgate's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amelia Lawrence, who posted 17 points and six rebounds. Those 17 points gave Lawrence a new career-high. Donatella Borvice was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 11 boards.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Milla Hansen, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Hansen has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more boards the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Grace Spencer, who earned ten points.

The victory got Northgate back to even at 12-12. As for Las Lomas, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-10.
