Baseball Recap: Athens Christian Comes Up Short

Athens Christian was the 7-3 winner over Bethlehem Christian Academy when they last played one another on Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights on Friday.

Athens Christian's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Athens Christian will challenge Lakeview Academy at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, they will face off against Riverside Military Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.7 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
