Baseball Game Preview: Ware County Gators vs. Peach County Trojans

Ware County is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Peach County is on a nine-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Gators will host the Trojans at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Ware County 2, Peach County 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Peach County's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Saturday: Ware County hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Gators never let Warner Robins get on the board and left with a 7-0 win last Friday. The result was nothing new for the Gators, who have now won 14 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Peach County was able to grind out a solid victory over Camden County on Friday, taking the game 12-7.

Peach County got a massive performance out of Scout Willingham, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Zion Hudson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Ware County's win bumped their record up to 20-1. As for Peach County, their victory bumped their record up to 22-2.
