Basketball Recap: Nuview Bridge Knights vs. Temecula Prep Patriots
The Nuview Bridge Knights lost against the Temecula Prep Patriots back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Nuview Bridge fell to the Patriots 49-45.
Temecula Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zylah Coleman out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. Coleman is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Isabella Hassankhail, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Nuview Bridge's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-9. As for Temecula Prep, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.
Nuview Bridge will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Rangers at 4:00 p.m. Santa Rosa Academy's defense has only allowed 29.7 points per game this season, so the Knights' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Temecula Prep, they will head out on the road to challenge the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
