Basketball Recap: Avella Takes a Loss

Avella was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Bentworth Bearcats, falling 64-36. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Avella's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Bentworth, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-9.

Coming up, Avella will square off against Monessen at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bentworth, they will face off against Jefferson-Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
