Soccer Recap: Wilton Takes a Loss

Wilton lost against Dallas Center-Grimes back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Beavers fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Wilton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 74th, while Dallas Center-Grimes are ranked 19th).

This is the second loss in a row for Wilton and nudges their season record down to 6-5-1. As for Dallas Center-Grimes, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3-2.

Coming up, Wilton will be playing in front of their home fans against Assumption at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Dallas Center-Grimes, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 1-0 win against Durant on the 2nd.
