Baseball Game Preview: Pepperell Dragons vs. Cedartown Bulldogs

The Pepperell Dragons will head out on the road to face off against the Cedartown Bulldogs at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pepperell has four straight victories, Cedartown has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Tuesday, Pepperell got the win against Cedartown by a conclusive 10-1. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Sam Ross made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He has been hot, having also posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Cedartown's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Pepperell, their record is now 5-2.
