Baseball Recap: Blooming Prairie Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mabel-Canton on Saturday, Blooming Prairie came back down to earth. The Blossoms fell just short of the Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Bulldogs by a score of 6-5 on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-5 two weeks ago.

The defeat snapped Blooming Prairie's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-7 record. As for Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5.

Blooming Prairie didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-4 loss against Lewiston-Altura on the 25th. Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
