Recap: Meyersdale Red Raiders vs. Northern Huskies
The Meyersdale Red Raiders were the 33-28 winner over the Northern Huskies when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Meyersdale took a 40-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northern on Friday.
Despite the loss, Meyersdale still got an impressive performance from Laurel Daniels, who scored 8 points. Daniels scored a full 28.6% of Meyersdale's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kelana Blubaugh, who scored 6 points.
Meyersdale's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Northern, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Meyersdale's road trip will continue as they head out to face Windber at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Windber is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Northern, they will be playing at home against East Hardy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
