Soccer Recap: Poly Comes Up Short

Poly managed to slip by King the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bears might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Wolves an easy 4-1 victory. While losing is never fun, Poly can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 151st, while King are ranked 46th).

Poly's goal came courtesy of Saydee Salcedo, who's now up to 15 this season.

Poly is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-4. As for King, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-3 record this season.

Poly and Norco will round out the year against one another at 11:00 a.m. on the 29th. Norco's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Poly's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for King, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 4-0 win against Vista Murrieta on the 20th.
