Shaw is a perfect 10-0 against Hardaway since September of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Raiders will look to defend their home field against the Hawks at 5:30 p.m. Shaw is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
Shaw is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Taylor County on Wednesday. They lost 11-1 to the Vikings. The loss continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost eight in a row.
Meanwhile, Hardaway got themselves on the board against Jordan on Tuesday, but Jordan never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Red Jackets with a sharp 12-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Daisia Crutchfield was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Huff, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Hardaway always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Hardaway pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Shaw, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Shaw has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hardaway struggles in that department as they've been averaging 16.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Shaw took their victory against Hardaway when the teams last played on September 9th by a conclusive 19-0 score. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
