Basketball Game Preview: Bear Creek Bruins vs. Chavez Titans

The Bear Creek Bruins will head out on the road to take on the Chavez Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Bear Creek was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-41 to Tokay. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1027th, while the Tigers are ranked 512th).

Meanwhile, Chavez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 43-24 fall against Edison.

Bear Creek has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Chavez, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-20.

Bear Creek strolled past Chavez in their previous meeting on January 7th by a score of 45-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bear Creek since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
