Soccer Recap: Griffin Victorious

Griffin's tournament run continued when they took on Peach County on Friday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Griffin Bears who were credited with the win. The Griffin Bears got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Peach County Trojans' four. Jairo Garcia had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Bears.

The victory made it two in a row for Griffin and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two matchups. As for Peach County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Griffin didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 5-2 loss against Northside on the 15th. As for Peach County, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-2 win against Konos Academy on the 15th.
