Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Charlton County). They were the clear victors by a 20-1 margin over the Turner County Titans on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won five matches by eight runs or more so far this season.
Kennedy Taylor was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Macariyah Gibbs was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since August 2nd. Ella Privett was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
