Jordan is 0-6 against Hardaway since April of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Jordan Red Jackets will venture away from home to square off against the Hardaway Hawks at 5:30 p.m. Jordan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.
Jordan will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Kendrick on Friday. Everything went Jordan's way against Kendrick as Jordan made off with an 18-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Red Jackets in their matchups with the Cherokees: they've now won nine in a row.

Bradley Smith made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. He is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stole at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Chase Scott was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Carson Lemelin also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.
Jordan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 21 runs the game before, Hardaway was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They lost 11-1 to Columbus. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now lost six in a row.
Hardaway saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Eleby, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Jordan pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hardaway, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Jordan has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hardaway struggles in that department as they've been averaging 15.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
