For the first time this season, Pebblebrook will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They are taking a road trip to challenge the Osborne Cardinals at 5:55 p.m. Pebblebrook is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
It was a Battle of the Birds when Pebblebrook faced off against Riverside Military Academy on Friday. Pebblebrook's pitcher stepped up to hand Riverside Military Academy a 19-0 shutout. The Falcons have beaten the Eagles the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Sinsaire Walker made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Walker was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He has become a key player for Pebblebrook: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise.
In other batting news, Damian (DJ) Phipps was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. He also scored two runs, which is notable because Pebblebrook is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Tyler Holmes, who scored three runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Pebblebrook always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .955. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Osborne, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Kennesaw Mountain 2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Joshua Tattershall made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two stolen bases.
Pebblebrook's record is now 3-5. As for Osborne, they moved to 5-8 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Pebblebrook has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .509. However, it's not like Osborne struggles in that department as they've averaged .448. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Pebblebrook suffered a grim 14-1 defeat to Osborne when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Can Pebblebrook avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
