Soccer Recap: Hollister Takes a Loss

If Hollister was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Monterey last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hollister Haybalers came up short against the Salinas Cowboys on Wednesday, falling 6-2. The Haybalers have struggled against the Cowboys recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Hollister's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Salinas, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Looking ahead, Hollister will challenge Everett Alvarez at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Everett Alvarez is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season. As for Salinas, they will take on Rancho San Juan at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
