Soccer Recap: Homestead Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Homestead was not quite Mountain View's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Mountain View Spartans by a score of 1-0. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Homestead's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1-1 and their overall record down to 2-3-4. As for Mountain View, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-4.

Homestead wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 6-0 loss against Archbishop Mitty on the 18th. Mountain View has also already played their next game, a 0-0 draw against Los Gatos on the 17th.
