Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Duluth

The Centennial Knights will face off against the Duluth Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Centennial comes in on three and Duluth on five.

While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Centennial who was credited with the victory on Monday. The Knights got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Westminster's four.

Two weeks ago, Duluth needed a bit of extra time to put away Peachtree Ridge. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lions 3-2.

Duluth pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four matches. As for Centennial, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.

Centennial beat Duluth by a goal in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 2-1. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
