McEachern has gone a perfect 4-0 against Hiram recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The McEachern Indians will be playing at home against the Hiram Hornets at 5:55 p.m. McEachern will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.

While McEachern didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Chestatee on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since April 12, 2024.

Malachi Butler was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Hiram lost 11-1 to Paulding County on Wednesday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hiram also got a good showing from Jayden Gaddis, who struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off one hit. That's the most strikeouts Gaddis has posted since back in April of 2024.

McEachern's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.2 runs. As for Hiram, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. McEachern has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .496. However, it's not like Hiram struggles in that department as they've averaged .500. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

McEachern took their win against Hiram in their previous matchup back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 10-3. Will McEachern repeat their success, or does Hiram have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
