West has gone 8-2 against South recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The West Warriors will challenge the South Spartans at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

West saw some tournament action on Saturday. They blew past Maryknoll 60-36. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, South didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Mater Dei Catholic on Monday, but they still walked away with a 55-50 victory. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while the Crusaders are ranked 312th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.1 points per game. As for South, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

West couldn't quite finish off South in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 and fell 47-45. Can West avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
