Volleyball Recap: Virtus Academy Comes Up Short

If Virtus Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mullins last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Governor's School for Science & Math Eagles on Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-19, 18-25, 25-5, 25-17.

Virtus Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6-1 record this season. As for Governor's School for Science & Math, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Virtus Academy will welcome Williamsburg Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Governor's School for Science & Math, they will be playing at home against McBee at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
