Soccer Game Preview: Sheldon vs. West Sioux

The Sheldon Orabs will head out on the road to square off against the West Sioux Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sheldon has given up an average of 4.8 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Sheldon is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Thursday, they were much more limited against Spencer on Monday. They lost 8-0 to the Tigers. Sheldon haven't had much luck with Spencer recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, West Sioux had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against the NIGHTHAWKS by a score of 2-0. That's two games straight that West Sioux have won by exactly two goals.

West Sioux's record now sits at 8-1-1. As for Sheldon, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5-1.

Sheldon might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from West Sioux when the teams last played back in April. Can the Orabs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
