Baseball Recap: Savannah Takes a Loss

Savannah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Screven County Gamecocks, falling 19-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gamecocks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Saturday.

Savannah's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Screven County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Savannah is set to take on their familiar foe Jenkins County at 4:30 p.m. on April 9. Meanwhile, Screven County will face off against rival McIntosh County Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
