Softball Recap: Heritage Sets Scoring Season-High Against Central Gwinnett

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage). They blew past the Central Gwinnett Black Knights 19-7 on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Patriots as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Central Gwinnett, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage will challenge Rockdale County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.17 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Central Gwinnett, they will venture away from home to face off against Clarke Central at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Black Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gladiators have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
