The Wesleyan Wolves will venture away from home to challenge the Whitefield Academy WolfPack at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wesleyan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Wesleyan is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Mount Vernon just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 7-6.

Andrew Waite stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Brice Gillis, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Whitefield Academy and Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, and Whitefield Academy kept the tradition alive. The WolfPack's pitchers stepped up to hand the Eagles a 3-0 shutout on Saturday.

Wesleyan's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Whitefield Academy, their win bumped their record up to 15-7.

Everything went Wesleyan's way against Whitefield Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Wesleyan made off with a 9-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
