Football Recap: McCurdy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

McCurdy extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 4-5. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 34-28 heartbreaker at the hands of the Navajo Prep Eagles. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 54-30 to the Eagles when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Navajo Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their eight-point performance the contest before.

Aden Clah went supernova, throwing for 234 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Those two rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Nijrelle Denetso did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 80 receiving yards.

McCurdy has already played their next game, a 42-14 loss against Hozho Academy on the 1st. As for Navajo Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 30-22 win against Newcomb on the 30th.
