Mary Persons entered their tilt with Troup County on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Tigers a 3-0 shutout. Considering Mary Persons have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Mary Persons' victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Troup County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mary Persons will venture away from home to challenge Luella at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
