Burke is 9-1 against Bryan since August of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bulldogs will challenge the Bears at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Burke and eight for Bryan.

On Tuesday, Burke didn't have quite enough to beat Benson and fell 8-7.

Cece Hultman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Liliana Hansen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lainey Prisbelle, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Bryan fell victim to Lincoln Northeast and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 13-0 to the Rockets.

Burke's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Bryan, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-21.

Burke was able to grind out a solid victory over Bryan when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 6-2. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
