Softball Game Preview: Bremen Blue Devils vs. Chapel Hill Panthers

The Bremen Blue Devils will square off against the Chapel Hill Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Bremen is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Bremen came out on top against Fayette County on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run fifth inning. The Blue Devils walked away with a 13-9 win over the Tigers. The Blue Devils' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Chapel Hill was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They lost 14-2 to White County.

Chapel Hill saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayda Young, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Bremen's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Chapel Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Bremen took their win against Chapel Hill when the teams last played back in August of 2023 by a conclusive 8-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
