Soccer Game Preview: Northridge vs. Rauner

The Northridge Knights will take on the Rauner Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Northridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.

Northridge's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against St. Edward as they made off with a 6-0 victory. Keller Karnes was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Rauner, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Muchin College Prep 1-0 on Wednesday.

The win made it two in a row for Northridge and bumps their season record up to 6-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Rauner, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6-1.
