The Annenberg Panthers on the road again on Friday and play against the Aspire Ollin Jaguars at 2:30 p.m. on January 26th. Annenberg's defense has only allowed 18.5 points per game this season, so Aspire Ollin's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Annenberg can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Downtown Magnets as Annenberg made off with a 40-17 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Annenberg has posted since December 6, 2023.
Meanwhile, Aspire Ollin's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 36-29 to Orthopaedic. Aspire Ollin has struggled against Orthopaedic recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Annenberg has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Aspire Ollin, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
Everything came up roses for Annenberg against Aspire Ollin in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 51-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Annenberg since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
