Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends San Jacinto Valley Academy's Winning Streak

After flying high against Desert Chapel last Monday, San Jacinto Valley Academy came back down to earth. The San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves came up short against the California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs on Tuesday, falling 55-32. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Wolves, who until this game were averaging 28.29 points allowed.

Despite the loss, San Jacinto Valley Academy still got an impressive performance from Kaahliyah Lacy, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 13 rebounds. Lacy's afternoon made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

With the defeat, San Jacinto Valley Academy broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-8. As for California School for the Deaf-Riverside, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-3.

San Jacinto Valley Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-40 victory against Hamilton on the 30th. California School for the Deaf-Riverside has also already played their next match, a 72-51 loss against United Christian Academy on the 30th.
