Basketball Recap: Elissa He's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Walnut over Diamond Bar

Walnut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 45-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Diamond Bar Brahmas. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly ten points.

Walnut lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Elissa He, who posted 12 points. Those 12 points gave He a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Olia, who scored 11 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Walnut's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Diamond Bar, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.
