Westlake had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Flour Bluff Hornets. The Chaparrals were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Hornets, so the Chaparrals were just returning the favor.

Westlake was led to victory by Sunny McWilliams and Kyrksen Cook. McWilliams had 16 digs, while Cook had 19 assists and two aces. Cook has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last six times she's played. Aarthi Govindaraj also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Westlake's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Flour Bluff, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-3 record.

Westlake has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Anderson on the 19th. As for Flour Bluff, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Miller on the 19th.
