Oxford Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 5-2 margin over Lawndale. Considering the Patriots' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Desert Hot Springs came tearing into Wednesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Eagles. The Golden Eagles' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four contests.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Ariana Fuentes, who's now up to ten this season.

Oxford Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Desert Hot Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
