Baseball Recap: Lancaster Comes Up Short

Lancaster extended their losing streak to five on Monday, dropping them down to 5-8. They came up short against Potosi/Cassville, falling 10-4. The Flying Arrows were not able to make up for their defeat to Potosi/Cassville from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

As for Potosi/Cassville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. They not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10th (when they won 15-2).

For Potosi/Cassville's part, River Sahr was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with seven stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. With that strong performance, Sahr is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Lane Schaefer also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Coming up, Lancaster will challenge River Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Potosi/Cassville, they will face off against Belmont at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Potosi/Cassville will need to watch out since the Braves have now posted at least ten runs in their last five games.
