Softball Recap: Chariton Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Chariton's offense. They came up short against the Creston Panthers on Monday, falling 6-0. The Chargers were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in July of 2024.

Chariton has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-6 record this season. As for Creston, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-6.

Coming up, Chariton will be playing at home against Saydel on Thursday. The Chargers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Creston, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-1 victory against Greene County on the 8th.
