Basketball Recap: Tulare Union's Win Ends Nine-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Tulare Union won the last time they faced Strathmore and things went their way on Friday too. The Tulare Union The Tribe snuck past the Strathmore Spartans with a 37-31 win. That's two games straight that the The Tribe have won by exactly six points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tulare Union to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jazzlynn Miller, who posted five points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. Miller has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last three times she's played. Nevaeh Avina was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds.

Tulare Union smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive contests.

Tulare Union's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-10. As for Strathmore, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Tulare Union wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 50-32 win against Hanford on the 14th. Strathmore has also already played their next contest, a 41-30 loss against Coalinga on the 11th.
