Norton is 7-1 against Russell since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bluejays will head out to challenge the Broncos. Norton comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Norton is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Beloit on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Bluejays were outmatched by the Trojans and fell 52-22. On the bright side, the 22- point performance marked the Bluejays' highest-scoring contest to date.

Ashton Kats put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 65 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 148 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Russell was just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 29-28 to Phillipsburg. The Broncos haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Having lost for the first time this season, Russell fell to 4-1. As for Norton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went Norton's way against Russell in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Norton made off with a 42-22 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Broncos' Walker Middleton, who picked up 182 receiving yards and one score, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Bluejays still be able to contain Middleton? There's only one way to find out.
