Basketball Recap: John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills Comes Up Short

John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against the Union Mine Diamondbacks on Friday, falling 64-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Patriots have suffered since January 25th.

Despite the defeat, John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Grace Sabbagh went 5 for 11 on her way to 15 points. That's the most points Sabbagh has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Norah Barmby, who posted six points and seven rebounds.

John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills' record now sits at 6-2. As for Union Mine, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.

John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills will take on Sacramento Waldorf in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Union Mine, they will head out to challenge Bella Vista at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th.
