Basketball Recap: Mission Hills Skates Past Del Norte with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Mission Hills over Del Norte in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Mission Hills Grizzlies blew the Del Norte Nighthawks out of the water with a 91-22 final score. The Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mission Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bay Cordova, who went 9-for-15 en route to 20 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. The matchup was Cordova's fifth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Hc Harding, who went 8-for-17 on her way to 22 points and five steals.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Mission Hills, bringing their record for this year to 19-8. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 47.8 points. As for Del Norte, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mission Hills will challenge Fallbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mission Hills is facing Fallbrook at the right time seeing as Fallbrook is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Del Norte, they will take on Poway at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
