Jackson had won six straight on the road, but on Wednesday they bumped up to 11-5 to make it seven. Everything went their way against the Seckman Jaguars as they made off with a 9-2 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Fighting Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for Seckman, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since October 3, 2024.

For Seckman's part, Ella Martin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and six unearned) runs on 12 hits. Martin has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Payton Bantle was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Hailey Kramer, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Coming up, Jackson will square off against Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Seckman, they will take on Parkway North at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
