Baseball Recap: Jackson Fighting Indians vs. Lindbergh Flyers
Jackson was the 8-4 winner over Lindbergh when they last played one another back in May of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Fighting Indians took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flyers on Tuesday.
Jackson had to settle for second despite strong performances on the mound from Drew Parsons and Brody Meyer Parsons tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits, while Meyer pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the fewest hits Parsons has allowed since back in April.
On the hitting side, Grant Brown made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.
Jackson's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 25-10. As for Lindbergh, they pushed their record up to 17-16-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
As of now, neither Jackson nor the Flyers have any future games scheduled.
