Baseball Recap: Bremen Comes Up Short

Bremen lost to Thornton Fractional South on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Braves fell just short of the Red Wolves by a score of 7-6. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ashton Cardinal made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jon Olivera, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base.

Bremen's loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Thornton Fractional South, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-11.

Coming up, Bremen will venture away from home to take on Munster at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Thornton Fractional South, they will face off against Joliet West at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
