Softball Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

Kennedy lost against Canon City back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Commanders lost 15-2 to the Tigers. The Commanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kennedy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Genesis Lujan, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Kennedy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Canon City, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Coming up, Kennedy will face off against Englewood at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canon City, they will venture away from home to challenge Pueblo East at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season.
