Soccer Recap: Effingham County Takes a Loss

Effingham County lost against Glynn Academy back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Rebels lost 6-0 to the Terrors. While losing is never fun, Effingham County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while Glynn Academy are ranked 41st).

Effingham County's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Glynn Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Effingham County will take on Wayne County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glynn Academy, they will face off against Islands at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th.
