Basketball Recap: Windber Comes Up Short

Windber was the 53-16 winner over Conemaugh Township when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Windber Ramblers received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 51-36 to the Conemaugh Township Indians.

Conemaugh Township was led to victory by Ava Byer and Mayce Kordell. Byer dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds, while Kordell went 6-for-12 to rack up 15 points and six boards. Those 15 points gave Kordell a new career-high. Danika Black was another key player, putting up four points and nine boards.

Windber's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Conemaugh Township, they pushed their record up to 12-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Windber will challenge Portage at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Conemaugh Township does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
