Volleyball Game Preview: Greenfield Green Wave vs. Holyoke Purple Knights

The Greenfield Green Wave will take on the Holyoke Purple Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Greenfield managed to slip by Mahar Regional the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Green Wave came up short against the Senators on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Green Wave have suffered against the Senators since September 4, 2019.

While Greenfield was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-23, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Holyoke came up short against South Hadley on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Purple Knights haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Greenfield's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Holyoke, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
